For a quick breakfast packed full of just the right flavors and vitamins, it's tough to beat a smoothie. Incredibly fast to make and your potential for variation is limited only by your imagination.

Let's get started;

The Mighty "Smoonanabrana" (Banana Oat Bran Smoothie)

The original recipe called for rolled oats, which is different from oat bran and less nutritional. (We never settle for second best)

  • 1 cup soy milk
    • Choose a flavor and calorie level consistent with your needs
  • 1/2 cup oat bran
  • 1 banana, broken into chunks

Optional add-ons...

  • seasonal or frozen fruit; e.g.
    • 14 frozen strawberries
    • 3/4 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • peanut butter
